A Child’s Place needs school supplies
A Child’s Place of Charlotte, a nonprofit organization dedicated to working to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education, needs donations of school supplies for homeless children in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
This year, the organization is asking the community for help. They need school supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, binders and folders to prepare students for the start of school in late August. The organization also is accepting new clothes, such as pants and long-sleeve shirts, to be used as school uniforms, and book bags for elementary and middle school students.
Donations can be dropped off at A Child’s Place, 601 E. Fifth St. suite 230, in Charlotte, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
