CHARLOTTE — Providence High NJROTC flew to the island of Oahu to attend the 78th annual Pearl Harbor ceremony to recognize the sacrifice of Armed Forces personnel made when attacked by the Japanese Navy on Dec. 7, 1941.

Cadets also toured the USS Arizona memorial and met a Pearl Harbor survivor.

They also met with Explosive Ordinance Disposal Marines to learn about how they are trained, climbed Diamond Head Volcanic Crater, visited the North Shore and attended a luau.
