MATTHEWS – Pineville police pursued a vehicle with two commercial break-in suspects heading toward Matthews after 5 a.m. Nov. 18.
Matthews officers responded to the area of Idlewild Road in an attempt to find the pursuit and assist Pineville officers. Pineville officers had last seen the suspect vehicle, a black Toyota Corolla, in the area of Stoney Trace Apartments on Stoney Trace Drive.
Matthews officers found the vehicle, which was confirmed stolen, and two people fitting the suspect description, two heavyset black males. They were detained until the arrival of Pineville officers, who continued their investigation.
