CHARLOTTE.– Alliance Residential has closed on the acquisition of 25.5 acres at the intersection of I-485 and Albemarle Road for the development of Broadstone Lemmond Farm.
Designed by Cline Design and Associates, the luxury multifamily development is scheduled to begin construction later this year and open for residents in 2020.
Alliance Residential is the exclusive multifamily developer of Broadstone Lemmond Farm, which will feature 336 luxury apartments.
Located near the recently opened Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, Lemmond Farm will include 50,000 square feet of retail and office space. The Helms family and Stanchion Asset Partners are developing the master planned community.
One, two and three-bedroom units, averaging 924 square feet, will draw design elements from the history of the property as a cattle and horse farm.
Donald Santos, Carolinas managing director for Alliance Residential, said the surrounding area is becoming a popular destination, presenting an opportunity for housing options that provide the luxuries of home ownership for the leasing market.
“Residents are choosing to rent for longer periods of time rather than purchase,” Santos said. “Therefore, they desire a development with a strong sense of community combined with unique amenities and lifestyle conveniences that is accessible to the areas where they work and play.”

I live in Woodbury right next to the farm. We hope that these luxury apartments don’t turn out to be affordable housing. We need a gas station and healthy restaurants near us. We work hard to keep our properties in top shape to continue increasing the property value. I hope this project helps us with that and to bring it down.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I live in Woodbury and I am concerned about our property value. I moved here when there were only 4 houses on my street and the 2nd and 3rd sections of Woodbury did not yet exist. I enjoyed the quiet in the area and sincerely hope the addition of apartments don’t negatively impact Woodbury and the surrounding houses.

Please, please, please, have healthy food options; a Clean Juice or Jamba would be nice. And, NOT a bunch of nail spas.

I wish it open new grocery store and nice restaurants.

I wish it was more of an up-to-date URBAN mixed use design instead of a 1990’s apartment complex with what looks to be fast food. The retail and apartments are disconnected instead of together like what would be built today. Look up mixed use designs and re-design for this century.

I just hope some decent restaurants open.
