MATTHEWS – Charter Communications has opened a new Spectrum store at 2211 Matthews Township Pkwy.
The location offers a convenient option for learning more about Spectrum’s video, internet and voice services.

Metro Diner customers can round up to fund cancer research
TAMPA, Fla. – Metro Diner will partner with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation to raise money for clinical trials and drugs that focus on childhood cancers.
The organizations are repeating their “round-up” campaign during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Through Sept. 30, guests at all 71 Metro Diner locations can opt to round their check up to the nearest dollar. They can also choose to donate $1, $2, $5 or a custom amount.
“Metro Diner is honored to be able to raise awareness for an organization that is making huge strides and uncovering new developments to treat these devastating illnesses,” Marketing Director Crafton Bryant said.
The restaurant has locations in Charlotte (8334 Pineville-Matthews Road) and Matthews (10412 E. Independence Blvd.).

CHARLOTTE – Two outside sales professionals recently earned the Silver Sales Award at the 2019 FASTSIGNS Outside Sales Summit in St. Louis, Missouri.
Paula Yorick (FASTSIGNS of Charlotte-South Tryon) and Phillip Broome (FASTSIGNS of Matthews-Ballantyne) were among 32 outside sales professionals at the sign and graphics firm generating sales between $500,000 and $699,999 from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

Credit Union celebrating opening
MATTHEWS – The Ukranian Federal Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening of its new Matthews location with a Matthews Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting.
Ukrainian-Americans founded the credit union in 1953 in Rochester, New York. It’s grown to 11 branches serving 21,000 members.
The ribbon cutting takes place 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 26 at 1730 Matthews Township Pkwy.
